Chevi Chung
Chevi Chung is a Tacoma-based theatre artist and founder of the Empathos Company. Her play, “The Chinese Question: The Tacoma Method,” explored the legacy of the 1885 expulsion of Tacoma’s Chinese-American community. In this interview, Chung discusses the roots of her interest in community theatre, the “Chinese Question” play, and how her more recent work has continued to take on themes of social justice.
